Heroes Week
My friend Andrea has created a facebook group encouraging people to blog about their real-life heroes this week.
We're talking people you really look up to and want to emulate, excluding for the moment close friends and family, people who died a long time ago, and fictional characters, natch.
This is something I'll have to think about, honestly. I'm not really an "I want to be like Mike" kind of person. But there are certainly people I look up to, and I'll try to blog later this week about who that is.

Now, if Obama can actually make the bailed-out ceos swallow $500,000 salaries, he'll kind of be a hero for me, but that's more the hysterical relief of "somebody's doing something, maybe we won't have the French Revolution this week".
I suppose there's Utah Phillips.
