(no subject)

At the meeting on Saturday, in case you haven't heard, Stilyagi voted to have ConFusion XXX be the name of the next ConFusion. I think that's fun and we'll have fun with it, but I also want to come up with a subtitle that will convey the fact that it's our 30th ConFusion.

Ideas?

So far I've come up with the following:

ConFusion XXX -ConFusion welcomes its 30th year with open arms!

ConFusion XXX -Over the hill? Just watch us shimmy!

there's also the more riske variant,

ConFusion XXX -ConFusion welcomes its 30th year with open (ahem) arms!

or

ConFusion XXX -Come hither to celebrate ConFusion's 30th year!

Okay, the concom all think my suggestions were wordy and awkward. I'll give them that. I was just trying to get the ball rolling, and it worked. People seem sensitive to implications of age though, so we're moving away from that..

Anyway, they brought up a roman theme, which I had already pitched to a ConFusion artist to try out as a logo. With the line above and below the XXX it doesn't come across quite as porno. Jeff had already suggested this on tammy's LJ but I missed it.

Maybe we'll just ditch the idea of a byline, or maybe we'll go with Robyn's suggestion:

ConFusion XXX ---Conventionus Maximus!
