On Saturday I made the party rounds as a witch. Today I am something even scarier - a perky 1950s sock-hopper who knows how to hand jive!

So far the best costume I've seen today is on _earthshine_, who showed up for work dressed as a chimney sweep. Complete with accent and a cheery "'elo, Govnah!"

Hand Jive (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_jive) is a type of dance that involves small fast motions of the hands, and sometimes clapping the hands (together or on some other part of the body). It is the subject of a song in the musical Grease (See video from the play (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP3OQmNoDh0) and usually associated with rock and/or roll.
