I was chatting with eposia the other day about how this has been a New Underwear Week for me - toss the old drawers, in with the new!

Or something like that. Anyway, we were talking about how we should promote it, like a "Going back to school? get a whole new wardrobe, people!" sort of thing. International New Underwear Week! (Think it'll catch on?)

One of my new pairs of underwear is patterned which, as anyone who took my underwear poll may remember, I don't usually like at all. Well, I have decided this pair is fun. And since renniekins is too busy off in Italy to give us a half-naked Thursday, I thought I would flash a few polka-dots at you all to encourage you to get silly and get yourself something fun and fresh. (go on, now! )

Being a guy, I only just got into the colored underwear thing. It'll be a while before I get as far as patterned.

Though as far as boxers (which I wear to sleep as overshorts, since the fronts gap way too much/often to wear just them around my mother in law, and I don't want to wear just undies either) we have a couple patterned ones of those...they might count as underwear to some, just not to me.

I bought a couple of pairs of new boxers; my old ones were falling off me. That's what happens when you go from a 38" waist to a 33". Weird, I tell ya.

Two thoughts, though:

1. Anyone who makes a weight loss post on LJ should be required to post NSFW pics documenting it; and

I was just pondering whether I should do an underwear turnover soon myself. A fair amount of my underwear is actually too small for me (damn inconsistent sizing standards) and plus, you know, polka dots are indeed awesome.
