that's a good point. I don't know. there were quite a few people in our section jogging. this was very slow jogging. Noting that I took twice as long as Bill, I think it was an appropriate thing for me to do, for us, to start half an hour before him. I'm certainly not a runner, at least not as of yet.

I wasn't aiming to place, or anything, but I did want to finish about the same time as Bill and my calves and achilles tendon, etc, were too tight for me to walk that fast. it's been a tense few weeks for me. So I think the walk/jog combination and the start time were the right thing for me, and I was glad there were other people treating the event that way, but I do see what you mean about taking the place numbers. It was something one of the other women I was partnered up with had us stop in to do. I don't think most people were there for that, since they were calling out an announcement that they needed the 4th, etc, Men walkers to check in. There wasn't anything in the directions about checking in at the end.
