"There are some things that are so unforgivable that they make other things easily forgivable."
- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Half of a Yellow Sun
This novel centers on the civil war that happened in Nigeria in the 1960s, about the secession of Biafra and how they were worn down with violence and starvation in the "police action" to bring Biafra back into Nigeria. It is about infidelity, on both a personal and a national scale. It has a book within the book, titled "The World Was Silent When We Died". I highly recommend it.
