I've been afraid to mention it for fear I'll jinx it somehow...
But I was offered, and have accepted, a position as a Human Factors/User Interface Engineer at Soar Technology here in Ann Arbor. I start on Monday but I already went in for a meeting today and saw which cube will be mine. I have a lot of acronyms to learn (they mostly do research for the Department of Defense) but it all looks very interesting and I'm very excited. I'll be working with smart people doing work related to my master's degree. Taking advantage of my education, even!
It'll be very different...
It'll be very different...

I don't think I've ever held a job related to my degree, but then, my degree is in philosophy, so that's not entirely surprising.

And *wow* it will be a bit different, eh?
