I feel like I should say something...

I'm sleeping a lot. we figure it's the drugs. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get through a work day without a nap tomorrow. yesterday I had four naps.

But my shoulder is feeling pretty good. We went for a walk yesterday and that seemed to loosen it up in a nicely gentle way. I've gained a lot of mobility back just yesterday and today.

I guess that's all the news - most of those things I talked about doing? I slept instead. I have read some hugo nominees though. And Neil Gaiman's Midnight Days and Sandman: Endless Nights

Sleep is part of the surgical recovery. It might be the drugs, it might be the reaction to anesthesia or to the physical trauma of the operation, it might just be your body doing its job of taking care of itself. Healing is tiring business!!

Good to hear it is going well.

Sleep is good. The less energy your body spends keeping you awake and doing stuff, the more energy it can spend healing itself!

May your recovery from surgery be quick and uneventful.
